The battery charge circuit does not work in this unit. Also, you cannot run the unit on the power supply by leaving it plugged into wall power. When you receive it, it will likely not power up as the battery will be dead. If you replace the battery with a good one all will work fine until it is dead again.
Troubleshooting Done So Far:
I replaced the battery with a fully charged battery. Unit powers up and works fine. Set timeout settings in it so the display stays on and the unit runs the battery down. At 50% I plugged in the power cord and the light next to the power button blinks red. Typically it would blink green showing it is charging a partially depleted battery. I know this charger is good as I used it on another Exfo with the same model number and it charged it properly. With the power cord unplugged and battery is at 50% the light is solid green. If you plug the charger in the light flashes red. This unit is sold as is and I assume will be a good fix and flip unit as everything else on it looks great.
